My Practice
My approach as a therapist is to help each client adapt and grow from life's circumstances. I help clients thrive in connection to their community and the natural world, and experience a grounded and vital sense of connectedness to self and others. I take a holistic approach that embraces one's intersections and addresses mental, emotional, and somatic (bodily) experiences.
I draw on various forms of therapy, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intimacy From The Inside Out, The Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral / Processing Therapies, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, to support clients in healing and thriving while navigating experiences of trauma and stress response, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and difficulty adjusting to life's changes.
What and who inspires my work
I draw from a wide web of thinkers, authors, and healers and believe it is important to give honor to the lineages and inspiration that I draw from in my own work. I look at my work as being a part of the lineage of those including (in no particular order) Richard Schwartz, Susan McConnell, Tara Brach, Joanna Macy, Ram Dass, adrienne maree brown, Prentis Hemphill, Francis Weller, Sue Johnson, Jack Kornfield, Henry Shukman and many more. Those therapists and mentors that I am in personal connection and on-going consultation with.
